WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW NOW
**DO NOT CALL THE GENERIC DISNEY HR HOTLINE FOR LAYOFF QUESTIONS**
We have gotten further details clarifying the misinformation spread by the online bloggers regarding your job search and being hired with another company prior to your official separation date of 12/04/2020. Please know the information written in these blogs are not accurate and should not be taken at face value.
Do not contact the regular Disney HR phone number. These individuals may not be equipped with all of the proper information and responses.
Set up a meeting with the Disney HR Team dedicated to the layoffs. Your meeting request link can be found in your official letter that was emailed to you.
In your meeting, ask them for specific information surrounding severance and any processes pertaining to the layoffs. (ie, You obtained a job during furlough? You previously had a 2nd job while originally employed by TWDC? Are you able to get a 2nd job during this time to help subsidize your weekly Disney checks, as you were accustomed to receiving overtime pay? etc.)
During your meeting, request they send you all of the information provided to you in writing, should you need it in the future.
